China’s textile trade witnessed much slower growth in the first ten months this year. According to the National Development and Reform Commission, during the January to October period, China’s export of garments and accessories totaled US$ 98.3 billion, rising 2.8 percent year-on-year, compared with the 23 percent growth over the same period last year. Import of textile materials dropped sharply, too.
