
Power producer An Hui Wenergy Company announced that it will set up a coal-fired power plant with coal supplier Sdic Xinji Energy Company, in an attempt to unify power and coal production. The venture involves a total investment of 4.5 billion yuan, in which Wenergy holds a 45 percent stake and Sdic Xinji holds the remaining 55 percent. The Chinese government has encouraged the country’s power companies to cooperate with coal producers in efforts to solve the mounting conflict between power generation and coal supply.
