In November, the power output and production volume kept negative increment.

According to the data provided by the China Electricity Council (CEC), the total volume of electricity consumption of the whole nation amounted to 257.55 billion kilowatts, which decreased 7.49 percent compared to October.

In the provinces with many high energy consumption enterprises like Shanxi, Hunan, Inner Mongolia, Guizhou, the electricity consumption volume decreased in double-digits.

“This negative growth means that our macroeconomy is not good and the growth rate of our economy is slowing down”, an analyst told Caijing. He also estimated that in the fourth quarter of this year and the first two seasons of 2009 the negative growth will continue to exist.
