Zhangze Power Forecasts 960 Mln Loss

» Shanxi Zhangze Power Co. (SZSE: 000767) forecasted a 960 million yuan loss in 2008, with a loss per share of 0.73 yuan.

» The company blamed rising coal costs for the loss, as well as declining sales.

» According to Zhangze, the price of coal for power generation increased 60 percent year on year in 2008, while the company's sale of electricity declined 20 percent year on year.
