» Overall power consumption in Eastern China saw a slower growth in 2008 due a sharp decrease in industrial consumption.

» Shanghai Power Grid sold 89.3 billion kwh of electricity in 2008, up 6.27 percent year on year but less than last year’s 8 percent growth.

» In 2008, Eastern China consumed 776.9 billion kwh of electricity, an increase of 9.19 percent year on year, while the power production in the region reached 747.8 billion kwh.
