» China Minmetals Corp. has agreed to buy a 100 percent stake in Australian zinc miner Oz Minerals, totaling AU$ 2.6 billion.

» China Minmetals offered AU$ 82.5 cents per share, or 50 percent above Oz Minerals' last traded price.

» The deal will soon be submitted to the Australian government for approval.
