CNOOC's Nigerian Oil Field Begins Operation

» CNOOC said production at its Apko oil field, in which it holds a 45 percent stake, started ahead of schedule.

» The field is expected to produce up to 175,000 barrels of oil per day this summer.

» The proven reserves of the field are about 620 million barrels.
