IMF Increases Capital Stock from G20

» G20 members agreed to provide US$500 billion in capital to the International Monetary Fund and to allow the IMF to provide SDRs worth US$250 billion to its member countries.
» This will raise the IMF’s capital stock from US$250 billion to US$1 trillion, according to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown on the afternoon of April 2.
» Brown said Japan will provide US$100 billion, EU will provide US$100 billion and China will provide US$40 billion.
» The London Summit 2009 closed on the afternoon of April 2.
