» The first phase of Shenhua Group's coal-to-liquids project in Inner Mongolia is up and running, and the second phase of project is ready for launch, said Fang Jun, director of the Coal Department of National Energy Bureau.

» Since last December, the Chinese government suspended all coal-to-fuel projects, except for two projects of Shenhua, due to plummeting oil prices and scarce water resources.

» Last week, Shenhua's partner Royal Dutch Shell said it will postpone its coal-to-liquids project with Shenhua in Ningxia due to the economic slowdown.
