CDB Reduces Bond Issuance

» China Development Bank issued only three batches of bonds totaling 60 billion yuan this year, compared with 223 billion yuan worth of issuance of the same period last year.
» The slow issuance was a result of debates over pricing and bond ratings.
» Questions linger over CDB's bond rating after the policy bank turned commercial. Banking regulators recently approved its request to keep a sovereign rating of the bonds issued during the transitional period.
