China to Build First 10,000 MW Wind Power Base

» The National Development and Reform Commission approved the construction of wind farm projects with a combined capacity of 3,800 megawatts (MW) in Jiuquan, Gansu province.
» The projects include 18 wind farms with a capacity of 200 MW each, and 2 wind farms with a capacity of 100 MW each. 
» This marks the beginning of the first batch of construction of the Jiuquan 10,000 MW wind power base under the Eleventh Five-Year Plan.
