More Banks Eye Financial Leasing

» China's banking regulator has received applications from more than ten commercial banks for setting up financial leasing companies, after the State Council agreed to expand the pilot program for banks' financial leasing business.
» The applicants include Huaxia Bank, Pudong Development Bank, Industrial Bank and China Everbright Bank.
» Several large scale banks have set up financial leasing companies since 2007, focusing on aviation, shipping and equipment manufacturing sectors.
