Mainland Investors in Taiwan Subject To Joint Screening

» Mainland companies will need approval to invest in Taiwan from China's Ministry of Commerce and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.
» Investors will have to apply to the commerce ministry, which will consult with the Taiwan Affairs Office on the proposal, the two said in a joint statement on May 17.
