Central Government Carries Out Over 60% of Investment

» In the first five months of 2009, the central government of China has carried out public investment of 562 billion yuan, accounting for 61.9 percent of this year's budget of 908 billion yuan.
» According to the latest data released on June 4 by the Ministry of Finance, the 562 billion will go to areas such as transportation, agricultural infrastructures, the rehabilitation and reconstruction of earthquake-struck areas, social services and environmental protection.
» The infrastructure investment contributes the most to the overall expense.
