Beijing Olympic Audit Shows over 1 Bln Yuan Gain

» China booked a gain of more than 1 billion yuan from the 2008 Beijing Olympics, according to a June 19 statement on the website of the National Audit Office. This estimate excludes stadium construction.
» The auditor also said it found no major irregularities in the use of funds by the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games.
» Profits will go to the International Olympic Committee, the Chinese Olympic Committee and the Beijing Organizing Committee, with the latter setting up a special sports fund, the auditor said in a separate statement.
