Yangtze River Delta Pushes forward Health Insurance Integration

» Shanghai's social security authorities announced on June 29 the expansion of an insurance integration policy that will apply to citizens with health insurance registered in selected cities – Shanghai, Jiangsu Province's Changzhou and Nantong and Anhui Province's Ma'anshan.
» They will be allowed to participate in a program permitting them to get reimbursed for medical expenses where they are living without having to return to the city in which their insurance is registered.
» This mechanism, which was adopted last year in Shanghai and some cities Zhejiang, will soon be expanded to more cities in Yangtze River Delta.
