Suntech Signs Convertible Loan Agreement with IFC

» Suntech Power Holdings Co. said it has signed a US$50 million convertible loan agreement with the International Finance Corp. (IFC), the World Bank's investment arm.
» The 7-year convertible loan has a fixed-rate coupon of 5 percent, payable on June 15 and December 15 of each year.
» The loan will support Suntech's transition to the high-yield panel technology 'Pluto' and service debt repayments, said the company.
