Haiyang Nuclear Power Project Obtains 36 Bln Yuan Loan

» The construction of China's largest nuclear
power plant, planned for the city of Haiyang in eastern China's Shandong
province, will be financed with a 36 billion yuan loan from a syndicate led by
China Development Bank and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, according to
China Power Investment Corp.
» CDB will guarantee the loan for the Haiyang
Nuclear Power Project, while ICBC will serve as clearing agent.
» Other
lenders include Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, China Construction
Bank, Bank of Communications, China Merchants Bank, Bohai Bank and Export-Import
Bank of China.
» Construction of the project is expected to be completed in
2014. The plant will have an annual capacity of 4,400 megawatts.
» The
project involves an estimated 40 billion yuan of total investment.
