» China's power output in June rose 3.8 percent
year-on-year, marking the first rise in 2009, according to data from the State
Grid Distribution Center.
» The growth was mainly due to increased power use
driven by unusually high early summer temperatures, an analyst with the State
Grid told Caijing.
» The analyst also said that the increased output and
usage appears to be driven by a sustained economic recovery.
