CNMIM Buys Stake in British Gold Miner

» China Nonferrous Metal International Mining Co (CNMIM) announced July 13 that it would buy 19.9 percent stake in British gold miner Chaarat Gold Holding Ltd.
» The 5.6 million pounds deal will make CNMIM the largest shareholder of Chaarat.
» CNMIM said that the investment will be used for the exploration of a gold mine project in Middle Tien Shan Mountain in Kyrgyzstan.
» The deal is still pending government approval.
