Guangdong to Invest in Natural Gas Terminals, Pipeline

» Southern China's Guangdong province will invest up to 2 billion yuan to build two natural gas terminals and a 67-kilometer pipeline as part of the second phase of the West-East pipeline project, the official Xinhua news agency reported.
» In addition to the province's infrastructure plans, Guangdong Natural Gas Network Co. (GDNG) will invest 7.3 billion yuan by 2020 in an urban pipe network of about 3,200 kilometers across 21 cities.
» Guangdong is one of the biggest natural gas consumers in southern China, with 80 percent of demand currently met by imports or gas piped from other parts of China.
