India Says It Shares Attitudes toward Climate Talks with China

» During his visit to China, India's Minister of Environment and Forests, Jairam Ramesh, said that the two countries face similar concerns and challenges when it comes to climate change, including pressure from the developed world.
» China and India have agreed to hold annual seminars on combating climate change, the first of which will be held this November in Beijing.
» Ramesh told Caijing that the two sides may cooperate in electricity generation, including solar and wind power projects and will conduct joint research on the melting of Himalayan glaciers.
» Earlier reports said India is actively seeking cooperation from China in opposing mandatory greenhouse emission reduction targets.
