China to Continue Proactive Policy

» China will continue to carry out proactive fiscal policy and moderately easy monetary policy, Premier Wen Jiabao said at a meeting with World Bank president Robert Zoellick on Sept.1.
» China is at a crucial stage of recovery and the government will not change its policy direction at this stage, Wen said.
» China's gross domestic product grew 7.1 percent in the first half of 2009. It has a full year growth target of 8 percent.
