Aviation Industry Shows Signs of Rebound

» August passenger numbers for China-based carriers rose 41.6 percent year-on-year, while cargo and mail traffic grew 18.1 percent, according to a Sept. 14 statement on the CAAC's Web site.
» China's aviation industry is showing signs of a rebound, the head of the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China said recently.
» The domestic aviation industry, which includes carriers, airports and related services, booked first-half profits of almost 4.9 billion yuan, rebounding from a loss of more than 20 billion yuan in 2008, the statement said.
