Sharp Lending Surge from China's Financial Firms

» New lending in September by China's financial firms rose 278 percent month-on-month to 87 billion yuan, according to data obtained by Caijing.
» The figure represented almost 17 percent of the 516.7 billion yuan in total new lending for September. 
» In August, financial firms extended just 23 billion in new loans, or 5.6 percent of total lending.
