Shenzhen Bourse to Curb Excessive Speculation on GEM Debut

» The Shenzhen Stock Exchange said Tuesday that
it will take measures including intra-day trading restrictions to curb excessive
speculation in stocks making their debut on the newly-launched Growth Enterprise
Market.
» It will closely watch the first-day trading on the board and seek
to pinpoint speculative activity that affects stock prices or trading volumes,
the Shenzhen bourse said in a statement.
» The GEM, which has been branded
"ChiNext," was officially launched Oct. 23, with the first batch of 28 listed
companies to commence trading on Friday.
