China Mobile Communications Corporation (China Mobile) is a state-owned enterprise of China. As the leading mobile services provider in China, the Group boasts the world's largest mobile network and the world's largest mobile subscriber base. Currently, in terms of its market value, China Mobile Limited is the largest among all the overseas listed Chinese companies and among all the telecom carriers in Asia. Officially established on April 20th, 2000, China Mobile has a registered capital of 51.8 billion Yuan and assets of over 400 billion Yuan. It fully holds the equity of China Mobile (HK) Group Limited. China Mobile Limited, of which China Mobile (HK) Group Limited is the major shareholder, set wholly-owned subsidiaries in 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government) in China and went public in Hong Kong and New York Stock Exchanges. The Company was admitted as a constituent stock of the Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong on 27 January 1998. Currently, the Company's corporate credit rating is A+/Outlook Stable by Standard and Poor's and A1/Outlook Stable by Moody's (respectively equivalent to China's sovereign credit rating). After the industry shake up in 2008, China Mobile merged with China Tietong. Now it's promoting 3G services based on China's homegrown technology -- TD.
