In a recent interview, Han Changbin, the minister of agriculture, discussed his views on solving the an nong problem. Because agriculture represents the core of the Consumer Price Index for the entire country, he believes the government should not have separate classifications for ural and rbanregions. There are three fundamental improvements that must also be undertaken in order to establish a solid agricultural sector, he says: increased productivity, greater standardization and more industrialization. Han also says that the government needs to promote infrastructure construction projects in rural areas, in order for farmers and their products to prosper through declines in the market and risks from mother nature.
