On January 15, workers of Lianjian (China) Technology Co., Ltd. organized a massive demonstration in demand for year  end bonus distribution. During the incident, the workers revealed that they suffer regular exposure to highly toxic materials. This was due to the factory  violations in the regulation of n-hexane, an organic compound iconic in the numerous toxic material. Many similar incidents have been sprouting up around China in recent years. Policies aimed to rectify such workplace safety hazards are only at their beginning.
