The death toll from a flood that destroyed a village in southern Kazakhstan has risen to 35, the country’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev said on Saturday.

Heavy rains and melting snows caused a dam in Almaty breached on March 11, flooding Kyzyl-Agash village in the downstream of the dam, destroying hundreds of houses.
