»Shanghai General Motors (SGM) announced that it will recall all Captiva jeeps manufactured between September 18, 2007 and December 31, 2007. 2065 cars in mainland China are included in the recall.
»The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) released a bulletin before GM's announcement, stating that the jeeps manufactured by GM Daewoo have an incomplete connection between the steering column and intermediate shaft which may lead to a steering malfunction.
»SGM is now contacting the owners of Captiva jeeps to recall the vehicles for
repair.
